If you know a man who likes to work on his car in his spare time, or loves to discuss the fascinating qualities of socket wrenches and spark plugs, then you know a man who will appreciate these bold, creative illustrative patterns. Douglas Day is the artist behind the Be A Man brand of male-oriented designs, and he is thrilled to add Westminster Fibers as a licensing partner. This is his debut fabric collection for Free Spirit. Mr. Day operates D. Day Design, an award-winning illustration and design company located in Los Angeles. He has established himself as a leading animated character design specialist, and an expert in the development of many licensing and merchandising campaigns. A few of his a career accomplishments include working as the exclusive licensing character artist for MGM’s classic Pink Panther character, as well as a contributing design specialist chosen to create key creative development for the treasured Warner Bros. Harry Potter licensing guide. An important part of his twenty three year history as an illustrator is his longstanding relationship with both Disney and Warner Bros., creating distinctive character art and home entertainment packaging. During this time, he has earned the distinction of working for virtually every major entertainment corporation in America. They include 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures and Capitol Records. Douglas Day is a graduate of Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California. He now resides in nearby Oak Park with his wife and two children. |
